Book is in overall Fine condition with tight binding and its pages still look in excellent condition. This is a Presentation Edition, but no number and no specific person listed as "Presented To". This volume's title page does not contain facsimiles of both authors' signatures, but first interior white page includes Roy F. Chandler's signature. An in-depth look at Marine Corps snipers and their craft and art. Hardcover and original unclipped dust jacket protected by archival Mylar cover.

London: Warrington & Co. , 1893. First edition. Hardback in full red morocco, gilt decorated dentelle to boards, and spine. All edges gilt. Edges and corner of boards are lightly rubbed. Front pastedown and ex-libris from The Surveyors Institute. This has been crudely reinforced with tape, but otherwise the book is in good condition, in a very attractive binding. An almanac with indexes and lists from Colonies and Dependencies of the time, to details on the extended Royal Family, Peerages etc. 124 pp. 185 x 115 mm (7¼ x 4½ inches).

Tan leather binding with gilt banding, black title plate and decoration on the spine. Rugby school emblem on the front board. A nice clean book.
The Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World: from Marathon to Waterloo is a book written by Sir Edward Shepherd Creasy and published in 1851. This book tells the story of the fifteen military engagements, which, according to the author, had a significant impact on world history. Sir Edward Shepherd Creasy (12 September 1812 – 17 January 1878) was an English historian and jurist. He was born the son of a Land Agent in Bexley, Kent, England and educated at Eton College (where he won the Newcastle Scholarship in 1831) and King's College, Cambridge. He was called to the Bar in 1837 and appointed assistant judge at the Westminster sessions court. Ffep has possibly been removed and has repair with archival tape to the joint so that it opens to title page, end pages are browned, bright interior though sl shaken. Fold out map bright and fresh, joining paper has a tear repaired with archival tape not effecting map. Spine title states 1903 and title page 1902 (May be 2nd state issue) Overweight. First Edition. A very good copy with minor foxing to blank endpapers and edges. Very good original decorated cloth boards. Minor wear top and tail of spine and fore-edges.:

Contains 61 full-page single-panel cartoons by Corporal Charles J. Hedinger, who served with the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II. A humorous and realistic picture of Marine life in the South Pacific during the war, with specific observations of Tulagi Harbor in 1942.
