Nice condition antique copy of "THE NORTH AND WEST ILLUSTRATED" compiled by W.H. Stennett. 1878; The Chicago & North-Western Railway Co.; Chicago. Softcover. The book has 120 numbered pages with wonderful engravings of nature scenes and landmarks/points of interest throughout. I am unsure if this edition was issued with a folding map, but there is no folding map present - however, there is a full-page map on the inside back cover, as well as a couple other maps within the text pages. "Facts for Tourist, Business & Pleasure Travel. The Popular Resorts in California, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota." At the front of the book is an Index, and list of the Contents, and a list of the Illustrations. "A Guide to the Lakes and Rivers, to the Plains and Mountains, to the Resorts of Birds, Game Animals and Fishes; and Hints for the Commercial Traveler, the Theatre Manager, the Land Hunter and the Emigrant."

Condition:
Clean front cover; small, dark stain spot at the bottom edge of the back cover. There is a small strip of paper missing at the top edge of the spine, and a 1.5" strip missing at the bottom of the spine. Both covers have a few small tears along the perimeter. The front and back covers are both firmly attached. Nice interior - the pages are clean with no notable issues found. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
