New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1947. Second edition, revised. Hardcover. Good +/good. 459 pages, illustrated with black and white and color plates. Translated by George Rosen. A complete sex manual, covering everything up to diseases and reflecting the morals and attitudes of a changing world. Maroon cloth binding with gilt titles and bands on front cover and spine, blue top-edge. Very light shelf wear, one small spot on front cover, corners and spine ends bumped, page edges a little spotted, a few page corners creased, interior pages very lightly tanned, former owner's name and address with 1940 date on front end papers. Light tan dust jacket with dark blue or black titles on front cover and spine is tanned with a few creases, no tears, small chips and creases in edges, pencil markings at top of inner fold, not price clipped.
