Worcester, MA: Jesse W. Goodrich, 1855. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Alice Farber. 48pp. Red blind-stamped cloth, gilt title lettering, frontispiece engraved portrait with tissue-guard, INSCRIBED by AUTHOR. Very light wear and tiny split to rear joint, contents are clean. Inscription on front pastedown reads : "Hon. Amasa Walker from his friend the Author." Walker was a U.S. Congressman from Massachusetts. An early publication on the study of phrenology.
