Based on the 1979 book by Joan and Clay Blair, detailing a 1944 Japanese naval transport of thousands of British and Australian prisoners-of-war, during which
the ships used to transport the prisoners were torpedoed by US submarines, causing 1,559 of the captives to perish.

Set in Japan, shot on location in the Philippines.

Tall red untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, undated, with credits for screenwriter Paul Mayersberg and writers Joan and Clay Blair. 114 leaves, with last page of text numbered 113. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with a silver prong.
