Hurst and Blackett, Publishers, London, 1958. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. note, and acknowledgements. Blue coloured boards with white coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and black, red and yellow coloured titles to the backstrip. A novel set during the Roaring days of the Ballarat gold rush in Australia in the 1850s. Softening of the back strip edges with a little rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Cocking of the spine with age toning of the text block edges and foxing to the top text edge. Offset tanning and foxing to the end pages. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Creasing of the edges with rubbing of the dustwrapper panels and handling marks to the rear panel. Foxing to the verso. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. VI, 7-224 pages,.
