Taunton and London: T. M. Hawkins & Longmans, Green, Reader and Dyer, 1890. Book. Good Plus. Quarter Leather. First Edition. 8vo (14 x 21cm). 22 volumes: vol. XXXV, proceedings for 1889 - vol. LVII proceedings for 1911, inclusive and complete bar volume XL, proceedings for the year 1894. B/w plates and illustrations throughout a few folding colour plates. Bound in uniform quarter black morocco with black cloth covered boards, gilt lettering to the spine. Bindings worn and leather chipped, rubbed and scuffed, volume LI with pieces of leather missing from the head/tail of the spine, a few joints cracked but all boards attached. ( The leather has now been treated with a restoration leather dressing) Contents to most volumes very good - clean and tight, a single small circular stamp to the rear of the titles pages and a small label to the rear end paper, otherwise no other obvious marks or stamps., vol LVII with a little cockling of the pages and a little water damage to the boards. The volumes are not musty. A good plus run. (please also see our paper-bound copies and runs of this journal).
