About This Item

This handsome copy has minor soiling to boards and bumping at the corners. The hinge is slightly cracked at the front and rear but still very much in tact. No internal markings. Pages are bright and clean. The book contains 8 short stories set in the South Pacific at the beginning of the 20th century where Englishman, David Grief seeks his fortune and comes into contact with adventurers, scoundrels, swindlers, pirates and cannibals. Ethnic and cultural stereotypes of the time are present in the text.

All proceeds benefit The Friends of the San Anselmo Library. No expedited shipping outside of the United States.
