Beatrix Potter. 85pp. Brown publisher's cloth, pasteon illustration to cover, color frontispiece. Chipping along spine and 1/2 inch piece missing from head of spine, loss of one letter from spine,binding a bit tender, but holding, text is mildly age-toned, all color illustrations clean and sound. First American Edition, published in 1903.

Synopsis

The Tailor of Gloucester is a children's novel by Beatrix Potter that was first published in October 1903. The story tells of a group of mice helping a tailor finish his work in time for Christmas. It is traditionally read to children on Christmas Eve, just before bed time.
