Philadelphia: Henry Altemus Company, 1895. "With 50 illustrations." Dated 1895 but is a second edition as it lists 9 "In Uniform Style" books on the reverse of title page. Cream boards, silver/red/brown front illustration of Alice gazing into the looking glass, 209 numbered pages followed by 2 pages of verse. Boards lightly smudged, 1/4 inch dark brown smudge on rear at lower edge, lightly bumped and rubbed on heel of spine, rubbed and frayed at head of spine. Pages darkened, faint price erasure mark on ffep, closed tear (1/4 inch) on top inner corner of title page, cracked at page 20 and 85. Center double page - 107 to 110 - loose from staples and lightly chipped along fore edge, block encompassing pages 183-194 loose from top staple, page 183 lightly chipped along fore edge, pages 47 and 49 dog-eared on lower corner. Pages clean throughout. Overall, very good minus.. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No DJ. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
