About This Item

Geneva: Editions du Mont-Blanc, 1967. 185p., illustrated with l5 inserted coated plates, b&w, variously from photography and an artist's drawing board, each facing a page of Jacot's commentary. First American edition openweave cloth boards gilt in dust jacket. Jacket is a little edgeworn, an entirely clean sound copy, near fine. Jacot is eccentric, a less flamboyant Velikovsky who ponies up hard science easily; he prefaces the plates section with the unusually mother-hennish dictum that "The following are more than illustrations of a text; they are all subjects for deep meditation." Find that the sun does not attract planets, it spews them out. Sun and planets are not in a vacuum, but amid a high-density medium.
