Signed and inscribed by Ramsey Campbell directly on the title page: "For Bruce-- / Some youthful indiscretions! / all the best-- / Ramsey Campbell." A tiny crimp/bump to upper back corner, else book and dust jacket in fine condition.

Hard Cover. 310 pages: 5.5 x 7.5 in.: 1.2: KB#009960: First US Edition, which followed the First UK Edition and a First Colonial Edition, both published in 1908. Boards now protected by a new Brodart Archival Mylar Cover. Original Slate Blue cloth boards with orange lettering on spine and front board (bright colors on front but somewhat faded on spine) and green twin cobra snakes intertwined embossing on front board. Pages are clean, unmarked, bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Board and spine corners are slightly rubbed. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. The novel inspired a film of the same name directed in 1926 by Rex Ingram. "Set in Bohemian Paris at the turn of the 20th century, this sinister novel was inspired by the notorious black magician, Aleister Crowley, and portrays Parisian cafe society." .

Title, Author and Year (1823) are clear, gilt and embossed on spine. Pages appear to be unmarked, clean, and tightly bound. Front and back hinges are starting to separate but are still well connected. Contains 235 pages plus back section of other Works Published by J. Andrews. Has prior owner's name neatly inscribed at top of Contents page. .

Bath, England: Firecrest, Chivers Press, 1985 A beautiful signed (not inscribed) copy of the author's first book. First hardback edition. The dust jacket is bright and flawless. The pages of the book are slightly toned around the edges but that is not unusual considering the type of paper used. All books are bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy shipping container when mailed.

First limited edition. Limited to 750 copies signed by Joe R. Lansdale and Don Coscarelli. In 2017 signed by Bruce Campbell on the limited page at the Toronto Fan Expo. Bruce wrote "T.C.B. Bruce Campbell Elvis." In fine / fine unread condition.

Good plus in publisher's red cloth with paper title panel to spine, with some wear to extremities, tanning of paper and wear, loss and age-darkening to paper spine panel.. From the library of George MacDonald with his bookplate to the front pastedown. In addition to MacDonald's ownership, this volume comes from the library of Maude Egerton King with her bookplate on the flyleaf. Ms. King was a friend of Greville Macdonald (and niece of George MacDonald by marriage), the son of George Macdonald, and it appears to have come into her possession in 1906, one year after George MacDonald's passing. Inscription to Ms. King, in what appears to be Greville MacDonald's hand, dated 1906. 12mo. 252pp.

Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, 1974. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First printing of Stephen King's first book. First Edition stated on copyright page, with P6 code printed in the gutter of p. 199 of the text indicating the first state. A great copy, which I will try to describe thoroughly to prospective buyers. This is a bright and square copy in maroon cloth that has a few minor spots of rubbing/soil remnants, perhaps as if the book was handled a bit outside of the jacket. The book seems too tight to have been read. The gilt titling to the spine is bright, with a few small rubbed imperfections in "Carrie". Light rubbing to cloth at bottom of boards, but not nearly worn through. Rear paste-down has a small, 5mm defect at the corner, where it is torn but still pasted down. Original, price-clipped dust jacket is bright with some edgewear, crinkling at lower front flap fold, with a piece of scotch tape also having been applied to the inside… Read More
