About This Item

Ex-Library, no DJ. Spine re-backed, corners reinforced, cloth-covered boards are faded and stained with age and use, there is some edge and surface wear with light pen marks on front. Binding is tight, there is light foxing and browning to endpapers, the textblock pages unmarked besides library stamps. There are B&W line drawings throughout, some full-page.

The English author wrote children's stories and plays, poetry, biography, history and satire; the artist couple often worked collaboratively. This book is a collection of 72 poems in one volume--one is about Cinderella, told from the pumpkin's point of view, and some poems are about games children play, also included are classically romantic, mythological poems about stars, planets, comets.
