Although born in Virginia, Haines is best known as a frontier poet in Alaska where he lived for many years in a house he built himself. A Guggenhein Fellowship winner and former poet laureate of Alaska. A handsome near fine copy in just slightly worn price-intact dustwrapper. A very sharp example and quite scarce in this clothbound edition.
