This book is excellent and a must read if you enjoy historical novels. It is very informative about the history of Russia. This book is by the author or Sarum, which is another historical novel depicting the history of a nation.

The Gift Of Stones

Set in an almost sing-song type, this book was not one that I would recommend to anyone. I have to read a book through to the end once I start it. This one was torture to finish. It was never clear from one paragraph to the next who the narrator was...sometimes first person, another times 3rd person.

Sarum

Excellent and a must-read book for anyone who enjoys historical novels. This book takes one through several 100 years of the history of England using different characters throughout the history. I was sure this book would be too choppy to enjoy, but I was proven wrong! It moves through the times smoothly. I will definitely check out this author's other books.
