Dust jacket condition very good, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, repaired tear without loss - the lower 2" on the fold where the front panel meets the front flap, slight curl to edges, spine slightly faded, not price clipped. Synopsis: The story of five families living in the City of Salisbury, spanning the 10,000 years from the Ice Age to the 20th century. The entangled affairs of The Wilsons, The Masons, the Portius family, The Shockleys, and the Godfreys, with their marriages, rivalries and and ambitions interwoven into the history of Salisbury. Excellent and a must-read book for anyone who enjoys historical novels. This book takes one through several 100 years of the history of England using different characters throughout the history. I was sure this book would be too choppy to enjoy, but I was proven wrong! It moves through the times smoothly. I will definitely check out this author's other books.
