Taken along with his various published treatises and his monumental work on the Constitution, Commentaries on the Constitution (1833), this assemblage illuminates the fine mind that was Story's. Story [1779-1845] was appointed the youngest Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States in 1811 and in 1829 became the first Dane professor of law at Harvard.
