RARE Illustrated Version of Clement Moore's NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, Published by McLoughlin Bros., New York in 1905 in Large Format (4to), 9" x 11", in original Teal Cloth with Full Front all color Color Pictorial / Rear Patterned Wallpaper overlay, matching the front & rear end papers (front has small piece missing on bottom right fep -- BOOK'S ONLY FLAW)!! Book Divided into THREE 12-page Stories: THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS; CHRISTMAS DAY; & The DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS. Exceptional Art Work by G.A. DAVIS, with Color Illustrations (BRILLIANT!) on every one of the 36 pages (Plus Unique Front Cover), Half of them in Full Brilliant Color Chromo, the rest in 3 color pale red base (as shown on title page). Several of the Chromos are FULL PAGE, Including a great DOUBLE PAGE of Santa on his Sleigh Ride ! Contains Not Only Moore's The Night Before Christmas, but also "Christmas Day" and "The Day After Christmas". Book is Complete, including Original FIRST PRINTING ANTIQUE WALLPAPER end papers, with cover in NEAR FINE- Condition, with Nearly Perfect Spine Cloth with bright lettering!
- Interior is Nearly Like New, with Solid Hinges. But just the fact that it has the delicate original end papers is a Miracle!!
Overall AMAZING CONDITION FOR THIS BOOK, Quite Clean with NO LOOSE PAGES!! a Very Difficult Book to Find Complete -- NO WRITING OR MARKING in the book!!
