Philadelphia: Edward Stern & Co, 1910 (1910). Green cloth with color pictorial pastedown, spine very slightly sunned, negligible abrasions to front pastedown, internally clean and bright, binding nice and square. From the author of the well-known "Roosevelt Bears" books, comes this adventure tale told in verse about a little boy, Prince Domino. He and his siamese cat, who is very smart indeed, travel to far off lands where they are helped by a little black and a little Japanese boy (the depictions of whom are slightly stereotypical). The story is enhanced by many wonderful, crisp & detailed b&w line drawings as well as seven full page color plates, the image from the cover is not repeated within. . First Edition. Near Fine. 8vo.

Color frontis and other illustrations in b&w throughout, including a section on Rupert. The real stars of the show are the 7 pop-ups, including a Christmas scene, Old Woman in the Shoe, a Pagoda scene, a fairy, a woodsman who's saw goes back and forth as you open the page, a fabulous carnival scene and a circus elephant. The story of a little Chinese girl and her experiences at the New Year's Fair. Marvelous b&w illustrations throughout give the reader a good sense of fun and offer a glimpse into Chinese culture as it was perceived at that time. A collection of the writing of Victorian era author, Juliana Horatia Ewing, illustrated by Edna Cooke with 8 full page color plates which are in fine condition. An extremely scarce and marvelous book by Florence Harrison, about whom very little is known. A collection of charming rhymes by Harrison, illustrated with 22 beautiful tipped in color plates (a few ripples and small edge tears as is common with this book) as well as full page line drawings printed on green paper.
