Abbreviations, illustrations, advertisements, index.The corners are lightly bumped, the spine is lightly worn and discolored, pages 16-17 are toned from a newspaper clipping stored between the pages, and there are markings in blue pencil in the margins of the text. "Containing: A history of the rise and progress of journalism in each province, with a facsimile of the first paper printed in Canada; statistics and tables showing the increase in Canadian newspapers since the period of Confederation; tables of the imports and exports of materials in the printing and publishing trades; the customs tariff affecting these various press associations of Canada. Etc.; A Gazetteer; of all Canadian and Newfoundland Newspapers and periodicals, in which is given the name of each paper, its editor and publishers, date of establishment; politics or class; frequency of issue".
