New York: Putnam's Sons, 1927 True 1st trade, with red buckham covers with real gold lettering and top edge GILT,this book has the orginal publishers note included,which states this special edition was sent directly from the publisher and was mailed to its regular customers as a Special Offer and free first look, asking for a remittance of $3.00 if they kept the book. Also included with this book is the orginal invoice from the publisher showing remittance was made for $3.00, on the invoice it states Lindbergh's Own Book "We", Special edition, bound in genuine buckham,gold top and stamping. Top corner front has a small tear and bump,spine top has minor tears,back corner has minor wear. 1st leaf has a been clipped top corner,former owners pastedown inside front cover,minor yellowing to inside covers,very very tight and square.631 numbered pages.Most people would grade this higher than VG+. Pencil price 1st title and rear inside cover.dark red stain top edge as issused,very minor soiling other page edges. DJ:price intact,1st issue,moderate chipping to frt top corner and spine ends,rubbing and soiling minor,Front cover is 2/3 worn thru on the edge,now protected in mylar. photos on request..First Published . Top spine area has a missing strip of cloth 1/16 across,minor wear to spine bottom. Signed on the 1st leaf with signature only,very nice and dark. book is very very tight and square,minor yellowing to the inside covers only and very minor soiling page ends. New York: Albert & Charles Boni, 1927 1st ed/6th printing Dec 1927, long inscription on the first title page in author's handwriting and signed by Author and Biller Houser to a Helen Lord, in the inscription gives a hint to who these people were, they were fellow teachers at an all male prep school named The Lawerenceville School in NJ, were Mr Wilder taught FRENCH, and had close ties to Princeton. BOOK: is very clean and the sections(signatures) are still very well bound,but the webbing between them is showing at some places, still very secure and held together tightly,other than that appears to be better than the Good+ I rate it.. included is a 9th printing,with its dustjacket which has chips and darken spine,maybe use it to protect the good one.

New York: John Day, 1934(see photos for details) This book finishes the The Earth Saga(4 books). It is part of a collection of the Rare 1st Edition(1 of 125 copies) of The Rare Earth. But if you have to have it well get it here. 1934 no printings listed,John Day Company last page,price intact dj $2.50. DJ: orange and black,with tape on the bottom edge and inside repairs with tape(not browning),has small chipping and tears but still 95%+ complete. The book has mild foxing to the top page end,and minor bumping to spine ends only, very tight clean and square. I have an extensive collection of Buck books including signed copies and autographs.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good+/Good+.

New York: Charles Scribners Sons, 1932. Included is a signed 3x5 card from the Hirsh Cohen collection, by the AUTHOR. Dustjacket I am listing this book without one, but it has one that is bad with large pieces missing. But I do have a slipcase from First Edition Library. Book: has two bottom corners bumped slightly, minor shelf wear, top of the spine has a little wear, and unevenness due to a manufacturing error which also cause a small wrinkle, light stains(small), orange cloth with gold boxes with title and publisher name, no cracking, very tight and square. A nice copy. The "A" is present as well as the seal, this is the 1st issue.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good-Very Good book/VG+ slipcase/poor dustjacket. Included is a signed copy of God's Little Acre by Franklin Library. And a BCE of Tobacco Road so it can be read instead of the valuable one.

INSCRIBED ON THE FIRST LEAF MIDDLE "FAITHFULLY ALBERT J. BEVERIDGE". OWNERS NAME TOP 1ST LEAF.A DECENT SET AND NICE SIGNATURE.

True First Edition with 1934 on Main Title Page and on the copyright page with no other printings listed. No Markings, beautiful green stained top page ends, other page ends are a touch off(light age toning) inside covers front ok but back is showing some browning, not much. NO WEAR, Sharp Corners, unread tightness and very square, light bruising to spine ends, did I mention No Visible WEAR. BUT the brown cloth covers are cloudy (only way I know to describe it), it is not all the same shade, its 2 shades of brown and no distinct pattern like a cloud...DJ: is ligthly faded because red fades with tim, it is slightly soiled keeping it from being as bright as new, light rubbing and light edgewear, a very very small chip just above the W in Now not effecting the letters. All the markings of the 1st Edition, not sure if the binding is original seems simply made. Boards cut to protect the rough cut pages rectangle, 1 paper label is on the spine with Title and by Author. The corners are protected with metal protectors. The spine ends are weak and starting to fray, shows minor shelf wear. It is nice to see it in such great shape for 92 years old and with only 500 printed.

1ST EDITION, 1ST STATE(John Day Publishing Company) and all 1st issue points. Top stain, flees, John Day last page, if there are any others I bet it is in here. The glassine Dustjacket came with it(Wraps as stated by Ahearn & Blanck). Unmarked, unread, clean, square. Check the photos. The rear spine cloth may seem slightly loose(appearance), that is it that I can see but listed as Near Fine?ADDED to this collection is the remaining books of the Trilogy(the Sons and A House Divided both are Great Copies themselves-search my books for the photos of them also) and the 4th book of the Saga(The Mother). BOOKPLATE INSIDE COVER, PREVIOUS OWNER SIGNED 1ST LEAF, TAPE RESIDUE ON THE COVERS. tHE FIRST SIGNED EDITION RELEASED 1950.

Blue cloth Gold lettering on spine and front cover. 12 Photos shows the details, tiny bit of rubbing, and little bit of bruising spine ends. Book is unread tightness, only marks is the Signature by James A. Michener on Half Title Page. Next page tells about this book being limited to 1500 for the Booksellers Association 50th. This was the FIRST authorized Signed Edition. I saw 2 earlier copies with the grayish cardboard box(no markings) they came in(like 25 years ago). This one has no box. They did not come with dustjackets either.I have other signed Michener titles as well as another of these(I think). I should ask for more but then it might not belong to you.
