Fallaci (1929-2006) was an Italian journalist and author and became famous worldwide for her coverage of war and revolution and her "long, aggressive and revealing interviews" with many world leaders. A Man is based on Alexandros Panagoulis, with whom Fallaci had a long relationship. She maintained that he was assassinated due to his work with the Greek resistance and his (unsuccessful) assassination attempt of Greek dictator Georgios Papadopoulos.
