Frankfurt: Ex officina Typographica Andreae Wecheli, 1580. First edition Folio, pp. [xi], 123, [v (index)], double page genealogical chart. A very good copy rebound in modern half calf over marbled boards, maroon lettering piece on spine; waterstain on title-page and bottom fore-edge, tear to final leaf. Thietmar (975-1018) was bishop of Merseburg. His history of Saxony covers the reigns of emperors Otto III and Henry II from 908 to 1018, and the wars against the Wends and the Poles.
