Description:
New Haven, CT.: Yale University Press, 1978. First Edition. Wrappers. Very good. 75 pp., small 8vo. Foreword by Richard Hugo; this book was his first selection for the Yale Series of Younger Poets. Signed and dated in the year of publication, and with an autograph letter (c. 87 words) to author Jack Gantos, asking Gantos to sign a copy of his book Rotten Ralph, and discussing Ramke's own book signing event (his first) at the Grolier Book Shop some months before (evidently where Gantos had gotten this copy of Ramke's book). Wrappers lightly rubbed, and with a mild crease to the lower corner of the back cover, otherwise very good.

Description:
Oakland, CA: Sombre Reptiles, n.d.. First printing. 17 x 23 inches, letterpress broadside printed in three colors on Somerset paper, with deckle on three sides, signed by the designer/printer, MaryAnn Hayden. Two tiny pinholes in top corners from hanging, otherwise essentially as new. In this design by the inimitable MaryAnn Hayden, the title quotation is dwarfed by the bold, architectonic illustration, created from linear material arranged in the bed of the press. An artist's proof, so designated, from a tiny edition of only a handful of copies.

Description:
New York: Roof Books, 1996. First printing. 106 pp., 8vo. Perfect-bound in printed wrappers. Very mild bump to one corner, and light edgewear, otherwise fine. Warmly inscribed, “with love, and thanks,” to composer and soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy and his wife, vocalist Irene Aebi. Lacy set to music texts of many poet friends (including Allen Ginsberg, Robert Creeley, Brion Gysin, and others), which he performed and recorded with Irene; in fact, the endpapers of this volume reproduce the score of Lacy's setting of Raworth's poem “Absence” (thus the “thanks” of the inscription) — which composer and poet jointly dedicate to Franco Beltrametti. In addition, Raworth has made corrections to the copyright page (the spelling of Lacy's name, among other things), to the contents page, and to the text of one poem. A terrific association.

Description:
Cologne: Edition Fundamental, 1986. First printing. Hardcover. Very Good. (36) pp., square 8vo. Edition of 70 copies, numbered and signed by the designer/printer K. Richard Müller, and handbound in cloth by Siegfried Köhler. A translation of Reinhardt's "Thirteen Rules toward a Code of Ethics for Fine Artists," printed letterpress in a striking three-color design echoed on the front cover. Though this is admittedly an ex-library copy, it is much less flawed than typically the case: an abrasion to the top outer corner of the front flyleaf, a library stamp to the bottom of the colophon page, a small, discreet address label on the inside bottom corner of the rear pastedown, and some rubbing to extremities of the cloth. Nonetheless a very good copy of a scarce early book from the press, priced to reflect the imperfections.
