Eastman's somewhat breezy 4-pp article recounts his detention in a Madrid jail for having participated in a meeting of the Left Opposition, at the invitation of Trotskyist journalist Francisco Garcia Lavid (better known in radical circles under his pseudonym, "Henri Lacroix").
